Quality boxes of different sizes are a key component of a successful move. Saying that, there's nothing wrong with using fruit boxes for moving books in, but that's not quite what they were designed for. When it comes to packing fragile items like crockery, glassware, DVD players and Playstations, boxes made for the removals industry are recommended.

With my focus on helping clients to move home, I doubt I could ever be as efficient at dispatching boxes, or carry as wide of range as www.packingboxes.co.uk

Having handled the boxes they make, they feel sturdy and like they would hold more weight than the boxes from Argos, or the ones for sale on Amazon.

Shipped direct to the door by DPD, their moving packs have everything in them that you need for moving. Wardrobe boxes are great at transporting clothes without creasing them. When I was packing for Pickfords Removals, we would also use them for smaller artwork. You place a blanket in the bottom of a wardrobe box, on top of that blanket, would go blanket wrapped artwork, fill it up, then another blanket on top at the end before taping shut. If the client had pillows or cushions handy they would go in with the artwork to prevent movement, otherwise we would just use more blankets.
