About Gareth Walker

​

Gareth is from a family who run a carpet and bed store. His father runs the shop, whilst his brother and staff members fit the carpet and deliver beds.

 

Before carpet can be fitted, heavy items of furniture need to be moved out of rooms, then put back again after work is complete. Though he didn't know it at the time, this early exposure to furniture moving was like a foundational course in what would later become a full time career.

Gareth spent just over five years working full time at Pickfords Removals where he worked out of their Chester depot. Unlike Eze Move, Pickfords Removals do international removals and they also offer a full packing and unpacking service and so in the past Gareth has spent days at a time doing nothing other than packing clients' goods and unpacking them at the other end.

 

He and his crew members completed hundreds of domestic U.K removals together and Gareth was also in attendance on a number of removal jobs, to and from mainland Euope.

 

Fast forward to present day, Gareth is an independent furniture removals specialist and he gets a lot of job satisfaction out of working in this industry and from helping people.

 

When he is not out on the road, Gareth can either be found at the side of a lake with a fishing rod in his hand, or in his workshop where he works on his hobby of making stone garden ornaments. 

 

Gareth is an animal lover, but doesn't have any pets at present.
