Furniture Dismantling

Although I do not currently offer a full packing service, one of the ways that I am able to assist clients in the days before moving day, is to dismantle large items of furniture ready to be transported. Upon request, I am also able to offer to bubble wrap T.V's and mirrors.

The most common piece of furniture I dismantle is a triple flat pack wardrobe, if they have mirrors, I bubble wrap those. The list below is by no means exhaustive, just some of the other items I dismantle. Every move is different, clients going into storage generally prefer to store things whilst they are dismantled. Clients moving into their new homes generally prefer me to reassemble beds and wardrobes on moving day. Both options are available.

When determining whether a flat pack wardrobe requires to be dismatled or not put your hand on it and rock it gently to see if it is sturdy enough to to be carried horizontally downstairs safely, without collapsing. Sometimes taking the doors off of a wardrobe can make a big difference.

The affordable quotes I offer are fully inclusive. My fee for dismantling and reassembling can be included in your removals quote and carried out the day before moving day.
